What a trust score can and cannot prove
A trust score helps organize warning signs, but it cannot prove whether every image, voice, or video is authentic. Modern synthetic media can be convincing, and real media can look strange because of compression, lighting, filters, or editing.
Stronger verification habits
Look for the original source, upload history, independent coverage, metadata when available, and whether the account has a reason to manipulate the clip. Be especially careful with urgent requests for money, political outrage, celebrity endorsements, investment claims, and anything designed to make you act immediately.
Trust scores are screening tools
This checklist helps readers notice warning signs such as inconsistent lighting, unnatural audio, mismatched context, missing source history, or suspicious distribution patterns. It does not prove whether media is real or fake.
For serious decisions, combine the score with source verification, reverse image search, original upload checks, and official statements.
